Hannah Vanderlan

Hannah Vanderlan's career in film began at The Edit Center in New York City. She went on to work for several years at Academy-Award-winning-director Alex Gibney's Jigsaw Productions.

At Jigsaw, Hannah worked alongside editor Andy Grieve, ACE, on the award-winning films Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief (HBO, 2015 Primetime Emmy Award Winner – Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special), and Zero Days (Magnolia Pictures, 2017 Peabody Award recipient).  She later joined the edit teams of the Emmy-nominated film Elián (CNN Films) and the award-winning series The Clinton Affair (A&E).  

Hannah's more recent projects include News & Documentary Emmy-nominated films A Radical Life (Discovery+) and Diane Von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge (Hulu).  

This year, Hannah was on the edit team of Free Leonard Peltier (directed by David France and Jesse Short Bull) which was an official selection at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.  Her latest project, Free Joan Little (directed by Yoruba Richen) premieres at the DOCNYC in November 2025.
